Yoga Balance introduces the yoga student to a beginners version of the Primary Series of the yoga system known as Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Our yoga classes are taught by a professional and qualified teacher in Auckland, New Zealand at yoga centres, community venues and in the home.

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic form of yoga that involves a combination of stretch, strength and endurance. Yoga has lasted thousands of years because it works. The changes in the body bring about changes in the mind – the mind and body are recalibrated, refreshed and harmonized.

As taught by the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois; this movement and meditative process produces heat and sweat to detoxify through controlled breathing and sequenced postures. Facilitating balance and wellbeing, Ashtanga Vinyasa is high energy power yoga suitable for relatively fit beginners with no previous yoga experience.
